San Francisco Business Times: Cleantech Open names winners

san_francisco_business_timesEcoFactor was the big winner at Tuesday’s Cleantech Open awards ceremony, which gives $250,000 in cash, office space, consulting and mentoring to the overall winner.

The Cleantech Open, based in Redwood City, is a business plan competition founded in 2006 for companies that create technologies and services that focus on reducing the impact of climate change. The competition lasts one year and 70 teams were selected to compete for 2009 in five categories.

This was the first year the competition expanded beyond California to include two new regions: The Rocky Mountain Region and the Pacific Northwest.
